Project & Construction Management in Greater Montréal

Every project needs one accountable party running it — someone who owns the schedule, the budget, and the communication, and someone running the trades, the sequence, and the quality on site. On our projects that's the same team wearing both hats: the management layer that keeps a build moving and keeps you from chasing six parties for a straight answer.

Two roles, one accountable team

Project management is the lifecycle view — one lead owning timeline, budget, and communication between you, the design team, trades, and suppliers, from kickoff to handover. Construction management is the on-site view — mobilising and sequencing trades, controlling quality, and solving the day-to-day so the build lands right the first time. Site supervision rolls up under the project lead, so there's a single point of accountability rather than a manager and a supervisor pointing at each other.

What we control

  • Master schedule and milestone tracking
  • Budget management and cost reporting
  • Trade selection, sequencing, and supervision
  • On-site quality control and inspections
  • Risk, change, and issue management
  • Progress reporting through to a clean closeout

Where it fits

Commercial fit-outs, multi-trade renovations, retail rollouts, tenant improvements, and residential builds that need one accountable owner from kickoff to handover.

The in-house difference

The plan being managed is the real one

Because the team managing the project also designed it, the schedule and budget being managed are the real ones — not a plan handed to an outside manager who has to reverse-engineer the designer's intent. When a site condition forces a design decision, it's made in the room by people with the authority to make it, not escalated out and back while the trades wait.

Frequently asked

Project & Construction Management — your questions, answered.

What's the difference between project management and construction management?

Project management covers the full lifecycle — one lead owning budget, schedule, stakeholder communication, and strategic decisions from kickoff to handover. Construction management is the hands-on, on-site coordination of the physical build: directing subcontractors, sequencing trades, and scheduling deliveries. On our Greater Montréal projects the same team owns both, so the person managing your outcome and the person running the site answer to one point of accountability rather than pointing at each other.

How is a construction manager paid?

A construction manager is usually paid a management fee — often a percentage of the project's total cost — rather than a lump-sum price with built-in profit and overhead, which gives owners more transparency into trade costs. The basis varies by scope and project size, and the exact model (fixed fee, percentage, or cost-plus) is defined in the contract before work begins — we'll tell you which applies to yours up front, so you see the management cost separately from construction.

Who manages the subcontractors and site quality?

The construction manager schedules and sequences the trades, coordinates their work, and oversees quality and safety on the job site. Under Quebec's Building Act, any party organizing or coordinating construction work must hold a valid RBQ licence. Managing multiple trades under one coordinator keeps the schedule aligned and gives the owner a single point of contact during construction.
